YAmaha YTR232S Trumpet Silver Plate - RepairUp for auction is a YTR-232S trumpet from Yamaha.  This is a solid instrument that could be brought back to life after some repairs.  The trumpet has some scrapes and a few light dents but the major damage is the crack in the leadpipe shown in pictures nine and ten.  The slides and valves all operate nicely.  The model number (YTR232S) and serial number (037242A) are printed on the side of the second valve, we couldn't find a serial number database but we estimate that the instrument was made between 1982 and 1991.  The included mouthpiece is a Belmont 7C, it is in good condition with no damage that we could see.  The trumpet ships in in a Yamaha hard case.  The case is functional but it has been damaged and does not close properly - this may or may not be repairable.  Once it has been repaired this will be a very nice instrument with a striking silver finish.This is a USED instrument that is UNTESTED. We do not have the experience to say what kind of play quality this instrument may have. We do recommend that all used instruments be fully cleaned and serviced prior to use.
